Seychelles Minister for Tourism meets MD of the Banyan Tree Hotels

The Managing Director of Banyan Tree corporate office in Singapore paid a courtesy call to the Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture, Alain St.Ange, to discuss their company’s corporate plans of action for their Seychelles operation.

The delegation was comprised of the Managing Director of Banyan Tree Hotels and Resort, Mr. Nelson; the Group Managing Director, Ariel Vera; the Investment Director, Clement Ong; the Financial Controller, Nelson Purisima; and the Chief Financial Officer, Eddy See gave the Seychelles Minister for Tourism an overview of their company’s success in Seychelles and said that their chain of hotels continues to uphold its strategies for their continued efforts for consolidating their presence in Seychelles.

“It is now quite a few years since the Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts opened its doors in Seychelles. Seychelles’ investment climate made it possible for international companies such as the Banyan Tree Hotel and Resorts to plan a major investment in the islands. It is believed that the Seychelles tourism industry benefited from the arrival of Banyan Tree Hotels and Resort,” the Managing Director of Banyan Tree said.

Welcoming the commitment of Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts to continue to work with the Seychelles authorities for the consolidation of the island’s tourism industry, the Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture, Alain St.Ange, thanked the Managing Director of the company and his delegation for their visit and for explaining their plans for the future. Minister St.Ange said the company’s plans to continue to upgrade their unique product was appreciated. “Today we know that Seychelles has the best and most reputed resort brands. We are happy when we see established world resort brands working with us on maintaining operational standards and for ensuring that properties in Seychelles remained at the highest level of good maintenance. The plans in place to take Banyan Tree Seychelles even further up the ladder of our island’s key resorts was welcomed information,” the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism said.
