Seabourn announces dedicated Australia sales, reservations office

Responding to a growing volume of travel agencies selling its ultra luxury cruises to upscale Australian travelers, Seabourn has created a dedicated team of sales and reservations specialists in Sydney, enabling them to better provide Australians the sort of individualized attention that has made the company’s name an icon of exceptional service.

“Australian travelers and their travel agents have really taken Seabourn to heart,” noted John Delaney, Seabourn’s senior vice president of marketing and sales. “And with the addition of our three new ships, it became important for us to scale our Australia-based resources to match their enthusiasm and satisfy their needs.”

Located in the Sydney offices of Carnival Australia, the new team includes business development managers, business development representatives and inside support, led by Director of Sales Tony Archbold. The enhanced local access augments the added convenience of having Seabourn’s entire inventory of cruises and departures available on the popular POLAR online booking system, giving agents the choice of booking electronically or calling the office at 1300987323 during extended business hours:
Monday through Wednesday and Friday 8:30 am – 7:00 pm
Thursday 8:30 am – 8:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Seabourn is also increasing the presence of its acclaimed new class of ships in the South Pacific region in 2012, with the advent of the all-suite, 450-guest Seabourn Odyssey on an innovative 60-day series of cruises entitled “Stars of the Southern Cross.” Seabourn Odyssey, the highest rated cruise ship in the world in the most recent Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice survey, will sail from Los Angeles to Auckland, onward to Sydney, and then back to Los Angeles, exploring an array of South Pacific islands, both islands of New Zealand, Tasmania and the eastern Australian coast. Seabourn Odyssey will return at the end of 2012, on a series of voyages from the Holiday period through early March 2013, from Bali to Sydney, and onward to Auckland, Wellington, back to Sydney and to Bali. In addition, Seabourn Quest, the third iteration of the award-winning design, will sail the Australian coast during a World Cruise in early 2013.
