SATA Handling signs agreement with WINGS 24 and AVPLAN

The Handling Management of SATA Air Açores recently signed an agreement with two important air operators, WINGS 24 Global Flight Support and Avplan Trip Support, to provide ground handling services at Santa Maria Airport, thereby reinforcing this island’s fundamental importance in technical stops for international flights.

Wings 24, headquartered in the United Kingdom, specializes in aircraft chartering services and flight support services across the globe. In addition, as a subsidiary of one of the world’s largest charter companies (Chapman Freeborn), it will help to generate awareness for Santa Maria as the destination of choice for North Atlantic technical stops.

Avplan Trip Support, headquartered in Michigan, U.S.A. and part of the Avfuel Corporation, provides a wide range of aviation services, particularly flight plan creation and management and ground handling service negotiation and contracting for its customers. The agreement with the Handling Management of SATA Air Açores, for Santa Maria, incorporates this collection of services, and seeks to reinforce Avplan’s airport network.

The two agreements entail ground handling services for passenger flights and technical stops for refuelling.
