For the 17th year in a row, Sandals Resorts International garnered top nods and was named the World’s Leading All-Inclusive Company at the 17th Annual World Travel Awards Grand Gala held 7th November, 2010 in London.  In addition to this distinguished honour, Sandals Resorts and sister-brand, Beaches Resorts, also received several additional notable accolades, including World’s Leading Family All-Inclusive for Beaches Negril Resort & Spa and World’s Most Romantic Resort for Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa. CEO of Sandals Resorts International, Adam Stewart, was on hand, along with several of the company’s top executives, to accept the awards.

With a total of four trophies in the “World’s Leading” categories, Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts rose above other highly acclaimed hotel brands. The Caribbean resort company’s top honours included:

Last month at the World Travel Award’s Americas Gala, held at Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa in Jamaica on 22nd October 22, Sandals resorts International was also honoured with several awards for the Caribbean region, including:

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 for the express purpose of acknowledging and celebrating achievements in all areas of the world’s travel and tourism industry.  This year’s voting campaign reached a total of 183,000 travel professionals worldwide in more than 160 countries.  Nominations for this year’s World Travel Awards were based on the previous year’s voting.
