Sandals launches Bachelor trade incentive

Sandals Resorts has earned a worldwide reputation for providing two people in love with the most romantic holiday experience in the Caribbean, so it is no surprise that the stunning Sandals Emerald Bay, Great Exuma, Bahamas has been chosen as the setting for the climax of the second season of hit Channel 5 show The Bachelor.

Episodes ten will air on August 31st 2012 and will see Bachelor Spencer Matthews jet off to the Bahamian paradise of The Exumas for a Luxury Included stay at Sandals Emerald Bay, accompanied by the three girls who have made it through to the show’s finale.

To celebrate their involvement in the show, Sandals Resorts and the Bahamas Tourist Office are offering travel agents the chance to win a Luxury Included afternoon tea with the Bachelor himself, Spencer Matthews, star of Made in Chelsea.

The five lucky winning agents will join together to take afternoon tea with the Bachelor at a leading London venue and each winner will be presented with a single long-stemmed red rose. Travel expenses will be included as part of the prize.

The competition will run until September 29th 2012, with the afternoon tea taking place in October 2012.

To be in with a chance of winning, agents must first complete the Sandals Resorts online training at Selling Sandals and the Bahamas Tourist Office (BTO) online training, and then ‘declare their love’ to Sandals and the BTO throughout the campaign.

To make these ‘declarations of love’, agents need to:

  • Register all Sandals Emerald Bay and Sandals Royal Bahamian bookings made during the campaign dates with their local Sandals business development manager.

  • Send evidence of how they are promoting Sandals Emerald Bay, Sandals Royal Bahamian and The Islands of The Bahamas throughout their agency to their local Sandals business development manager.

Ideas could include: promoting relevant packages in their agency’s window; creating a Sandals and The Bahamas themed window display; featuring the resorts prominently on the agency website and/or blog; mailing out relevant holiday offers to their client database; holding a Sandals Resorts and The Bahamas event for their clients

The five agents who have cumulatively registered the most bookings and been seen to ‘give the most love’ to Sandals Resorts and The Bahamas over the course of the campaign will be selected as the winners.

Throughout the competition Sandals Resorts and the BTO will hold a weekly ‘Rose Ceremony’ where the best entrant for that week (i.e. the agent who has registered the most bookings or who has come up with that week’s most creative and relevant promotion) will be awarded a dozen red roses, delivered to them at their agency by a Sandals Resorts butler.
