Russian passenger plane crashes after missing runway

At least four people have been killed following an accident at an airport in Moscow after a plane missed the runway and crashed into a nearby road.

Up to 12 crew were thought to be on board the Red Wings Tupolev-204 which was due to land at Vnukovo airport after traveling from the Czech Republic.

Two pilots, an engineer and air stewardess were among those killed, while four people were severely injured, according to reports.

The cause of the crash has not yet been confirmed, but investigators have suggested faulty breaks may have played a part in the disaster.
