AVIS Budget Group EMEA has announced the appointment of Maria Pierce as international commercial manager in the leisure and partnerships team based at the company’s Bracknell, Berkshire headquarters.

In her new role Pierce is responsible for delivering first class account management to the existing Avis Budget portfolio of pan European and UK global leisure accounts and maximising revenue via the intermediary distribution channels, including travel agents and tour operators.

She was previously the global marketing manager for the ABG North American team managing global marketing and website campaigns and prior to that she was an account support manager. 

Before joining ABG Maria was an events manager for a major IT company.

Pierce’s predecessor in her new role, Lynette Dungey, moves within the AVIS Budget Group leisure and partnerships team to become international partnerships manager, global travel and partnerships.
