Park Resorts, Digital Animal launch Share & Earn social media programme
Digital marketing agency digitalanimal has launched an industry-first Share & Earn social media programme, that has delivered an average of 5 leads per one share from happy Park Resorts holidaymakers.
Park Resorts, one of the UK’s leading holiday park operators, has launched a new social media incentive programme for holidaymakers in conjunction with digital marketing agency, digitalanimal. The Share & Earn programme allows Park Resorts’ customers to earn rewards by sharing links to Park Resorts holidays via Facebook, Twitter and blogs.
The programme has been live for four weeks and, so far, digitalanimal has reported that an average 80% of the users signing up to Share & Earn are actively sharing Park Resorts with their friends. Furthermore, users are sharing, on average, three times each and as a result, Park Resorts is receiving on average five new users back to its website from the initial share.
With the Share & Earn Programme, a Park Resorts’ customer can earn money off holidays in addition to free weekend and week-long breaks. digitalanimal’s advanced technology has been deployed across the Park Resorts website, allowing the company to track the recommendations process from the initial share, through to resulting sales and leads.
Sanjit Atwal, Managing Director of the digitalanimal Agency, said:
“We are delighted to have implemented our technology into the travel market with such a forward-thinking partner as Park Resorts. Although it is early days for the recommendations market, our initial findings have been hugely encouraging and prove that peer-to-peer recommendations from friends can be a massive traffic driver for ecommerce brands when implemented as part of a rewards programme.”

Sanjit continued:
“The fact that we can transform any user into a potential micro-affiliate shows not only where we are taking digital marketing to new levels, but also where the customer acquisition value rests for innovative brands like Park Resorts.”
Marketing Manager - Ebusiness for Park Resorts, Caroline Doyle, said:
“We have always aimed to be at the forefront of social media in the travel industry and are constantly communicating with our customers via online mediums. Many of our fans, followers and customers recommend us every day to their online communities and we felt we wanted to reward them! Working with digitalanimal, we came up with the Share & Earn programme and less than four weeks in it is already proving a popular incentive.”
The digitalanimal technology - named fandistribution, tracks and analyses the activity of the sharers across 335 different forms of social media and email.
