Regional specialist Cumbrian Cottages claims to be the first holiday cottage company to enable customers to book a short break entirely online.

“As far as we are aware, we’re the first cottage agency to do this,” says head of marketing Jon Copland.

“Other agencies appear to offer this facility, but have to phone or email the customer back to confirm the dates and price – and that can result in disappointment.  Our customers can be confident that both the availability and the price they see online is correct, and that the booking is confirmed as soon as they click ‘book now’.”

The company says that the short break market is very large and this facility will help customers search for short breaks and book them with total confidence.

Cumbrian Cottages’ Short Break conditions are:
·      Minimum stay three nights
·      Bookings for off-peak short breaks may be made at any time, as long as the break does not cross over a two week holiday booking period.
·      Bookings for peak period stays short breaks may be booked within three weeks of the start date.  Peak period dates for 2012/13 are 19 October-1 November; 20 December-3 January; 8-21 February; 28 March-11 April; 26 April-31 October.
