Thousands of visitors have descended in east London in preparation for the official opening of the Olympic Stadium this evening.
Vernon Kay and Gabby Logan are hosting the show, which comes just over two months before the Games on July 27th. Olympians and other famous celebrities are expected to be in attendance.
Youths between 8 and 14 have registered for the opportunity to open the Games Stadium, 100 of were chosen to go through to the final round. One youngster will be selected at random will open the stadium.
Lord Seb Coe, London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (Locog) chairman, commented: “This crowd is not only starting their Olympic journey just weeks ahead of the Games, they are also playing a vital role in helping us test the venue and earn our licence to operate the stadium.”
