Off on holiday with Eurowings: New onboard experiences for children and families
Just in time for the start of the summer holiday season, Eurowings is expanding its range of in-flight services for children and families. From exciting facts for young aviation enthusiasts to a fluffy travel companion – when flying with the value airline, the holiday experience begins not just after landing, but whilst still in the air.
New on board as of now is an exclusive “WAS IST WAS” booklet on the topic of flying, developed by Eurowings in collaboration with publisher Tessloff. The popular children’s series explains the world of aviation in an entertaining way and shares fascinating facts about flying. A colouring and activity book from Eurowings and Europa-Park, complete with a matching pencil set, provides even more variety during the flight. Furthermore, a plush plane in the look of cooperation partner Salzburger Land adds a new travel companion to the range of treats for younger guests – and serves as a reminder of the family holiday even after landing. These extras for children will be handed out by the cabin crew whilst stocks last.
In addition to the new offers for children, Eurowings is introducing a family discount on in-flight services during the summer holidays. From August until the end of October, families will receive a ten per cent discount on food, drinks and other items in the WINGS Bistro & Shop. The discount applies to orders of 20 euros or more and will be issued by the cabin crew during the flight.
On top of the new in-flight extras, the value airline supports families already during their travel planning. When booking directly via a free myEurowings account, guests receive a 20 per cent discount on the ticket price for children aged between two and eleven. In addition, Germany’s largest holiday airline carries two items of travel equipment per child – such as strollers, buggies or foldable children’s wagons – free of charge.
