Wyndham Hotel Group, the world’s largest hotel company with over 7,170 hotels and part of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation announced the opening of the newly constructed, 250-room TRYP by Wyndham Bogotá Embajada, the newest TRYP by Wyndham hotel in Colombia.

The hotel becomes the second in the country to join the select-service brand’s portfolio, following the June 2011 opening of its first Colombian property in Medellín.

The addition of TRYP by Wyndham Bogotá Embajada also increases Wyndham Hotel Group’s growing presence in Latin America, which marked its 100th hotel in the region in September. The company’s Latin American portfolio currently consists of over 100 properties and more than 12,000 rooms under the Wyndham® Hotels and Resorts, Ramada®, Days Inn®, Howard Johnson®, Wingate by Wyndham®, Microtel Inn & Suites® by Wyndham and TRYP by Wyndham hotel brands.

Located just 15 minutes from El Dorado International Airport in the heart of Colombia’s capital, TRYP by Wyndham Bogotá Embajada is the centerpiece of the newly built Capital Towers complex, featuring retail shops, commercial space and restaurants. The property, owned by Luis F. Correa & Asociados and managed by Diplomat Hotels, is within close proximity to the United States Embassy; Corferias, the city’s convention and exhibition center; major businesses; and top attractions.

Guest rooms and suites feature complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access, 37-inch LED flat screen televisions, refrigerators and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the city. The hotel also offers the TRYP by Wyndham brand’s signature fitness rooms, stocked with exercise equipment and complimentary workout gear, as well as oversized family rooms with bunk beds for children and separate large beds for adults.

Additional hotel services include complimentary airport shuttle service; free wireless Internet throughout the hotel; and 24-hour business center. Sixteen fully equipped meeting rooms can accommodate up to 100 guests for a variety of events.
