New Director of Sales and Marketing joins Frégate Island Private

The team behind Frégate Island Private, the Seychelles’ unique conservation destination, continues to go from strength to strength with the appointment of seasoned Sales and Marketing expert Patricia de Mayer as Director of Sales & Marketing, with immediate effect.

Based in Offenbach, Germany, the multilingual Mrs de Mayer will have overall responsibility for all Sales and Marketing activity worldwide, and will enhance the emphasis on European markets whilst simultaneously developing new emerging markets such as North and South America, the Middle East and CIS/CEE countries. Having built and burnished an exceptional reputation within the luxury hospitality industry during 16 years at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts - including more than seven years as Regional Director of Sales – Mrs de Mayer will lead the way in taking Frégate’s market penetration and visibility to new heights.

With Mrs de Mayer having worked with some of the travel industry’s most exclusive and respected luxury hotel groups, this appointment is a fitting culmination of an impressive career trajectory. Having cut her teeth in London as Sales Coordinator with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Mrs de Mayer moved on to Philippine Airlines, where her leadership skills came to the fore as she supervised a team of 20 sales and reservations staff in her capacity as Sales Executive UK & Ireland.

Mrs de Mayer first entered the Four Seasons fold in 1994 with her appointment as Regional Sales Manager Europe for the Regent Hong Kong. With responsibilities including the management of the hotel’s sales and PR activity in continental Europe, Mrs de Mayer’s strategic skill and leadership saw Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts promote her to the role of Associate Regional Director of Sales for the group as a whole. Five years later, Mrs de Mayer progressed to become Regional Director of Sales, where her responsibilities included planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating regional sales activities on behalf of 84 hotels and resorts across 35 countries.

Having won a Four Seasons President’s Club Award and a Four Seasons Achiever’s Award during her glittering career with the group, in 2010 Mrs de Mayer left to establish her independent sales and marketing consulting company, Global Elite Private. Since then, Mrs de Mayer has provided consultancy to a wide range of luxury boutique hotels and resorts in Austria, China, Germany, India, Italy, Russia and Switzerland.
