Martin to head up public relations for Singapore Airlines in UK
Singapore Airlines has confirmed the appointment of Zoë Martin as public relations manager for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Joining from American Airlines where she was public relations manager for Europe, Martin brings with her a wealth of valuable aviation and travel experience in many of the areas her new role will cover.
Having started with Singapore Airlines on February 1st, her key responsibilities include overseeing the day–to-day activities of the press office and managing the airline’s agency, Weber Shandwick, developing the strategy for localised content within existing social media channels and managing key stakeholder relationships.
Martin will also act as a key driver in developing PR campaigns and responses around key aviation issues such as Air Passenger Duty and will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to support their on-going focuses.
She will report directly into Phee Teik Yeoh, general manager for UK and Ireland.
Martin commented: “As a high-quality global carrier, I am very excited to have joined Singapore Airlines as it prepares to become the first all-A380 operator flying from London Heathrow later this year and launches Darwin, Australia as a new destination in March, in conjunction with SilkAir.
“The airline’s reputation is held in high regard and we look forward to strengthening our role as an industry leader.”
Ms Martin also holds a Geography Degree from the University of Durham and is a Member of the CIPR having studied the CIPR Diploma.
