Korean Air unveils expanded prestige class lounge at Incheon Airport

Korean Air today unveils its expanded Prestige Class Lounge at Incheon International Airport, once again demonstrating its commitment to providing a world-class premium travel experience.

The new 160 seat, 1,100-square-metre Prestige Class Lounge area is located beside the existing Prestige Class Lounge at Incheon International Airport, which currently accommodates 290 passengers in a 1,226-square-meter lounge area.

Together they offer unparalleled levels of comfort and convenience to Korean Air’s business class passengers flying out of or transiting through the award-winning hub.

Korean Air is committed to providing service excellence both in flight and on the ground. The new extension took two years to design and two months to construct.

The 450 seat, 2.326-squre-meter lounge features everything a business traveller might need.

Designed with the aim of providing Korean Air passengers the ultimate in tranquility and exclusivity, the lounge is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and unprecedented amenities.

Korean Air is the first Korean airline to dedicate a lounge area solely to female travellers, including a sleeping room and a powder room. Business travellers can also enjoy a variety of exclusive amenities, such as a tastefully appointed dining room if they are travelling in groups, and luxuriously appointed individual shower booths.

Furthermore, Korean Air is planning to upgrade its current First Class Lounge and an additional lounge (KAL OAL Lounge) which it provides for the exclusive use of its SkyTeam partner carriers and a selection of other airlines operating from Incheon.

In a bid to boost its world-class premium offerings across the entire spectrum of its activities, from the ground operations to in-flight product and fleet, Korean Air has embarked on a far-reaching campaign to offer the highest levels of service and technology.

Korean Air recently completed a massive upgrade and overhaul of its existing mid to long-haul cabin facilities, and has invested heavily in the latest cutting-edge seating, amenities and entertainment systems in its new fleet of modern fuel efficient aircraft including its new Airbus A380s and the introduction of the next generation B737-900ERs which feature Boeing’s innovative Sky Interior.

Korean Air’s A380s have the lowest configuration of any A380 operator so far, and the carrier is also the first to devote the entire upper deck to a single class of service, with 94 fully lie-flat Prestige Sleeper seats in its Prestige (business) Class cabin.
