Jumeirah climbs charity heights to celebrate Jumeirah Emirates Towers’ tenth anniversary

The Big Apple, in the Boulevard of Jumeirah Emirates Towers, in association with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and the Red Crescent Society, has announced the details of its 7th Vertical Marathon.

The event, which has become a fixture on Dubai’s annual calendar, will take place on Friday, 28th May 2010, with the aim of attracting a record breaking 200 runners.

This, the biggest Vertical Marathon to date, will also be part of Jumeirah Emirates Towers’ tenth anniversary festivities. Ten years ago Jumeirah Emirates Towers emerged as the place where business met pleasure and the hotel will be celebrating this happy event throughout the year with many special offers and promotions. The 2010 Vertical Marathon will be an extension of the celebrations and of Jumeirah Emirates Towers continued support of MSF.

Funds raised will support independent humanitarian medical organization MSF to provide medical aid where it is most needed.

Last year the Vertical Marathon raised over AED 160,000 for MSF when 185 eager runners supported this charitable event. The race will kick off at 8.00am with runners having to ascend the 1,334 stairs and 52 floors which make up the course within the 350 metre tall Office Tower of Jumeirah Emirates Towers.
