Jamie Oliver cooks up a tagine…
….on the roof top of maison mk
Top television chef votes Marrakech boutique hotel as having the best roof top in the city.
Renowned cook Jamie Oliver can stand the heat in the kitchen; as the sun baked down the chef announced that the roof terrace of luxury hotel Maison MK, where he chose to film for his new series, is the best roof top out of a selection of 26 riads he had seen.
The hotel, located in the heart of Marrakech, boasts both an upper and lower-roof terrace. While the former entices guests with a view of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, the latter is transformed with orange parachute silk and flickering candlelight, to a star-gazing bar by night.
In a league of its own, the home away from home attends to each and every infinitesimal detail to ensure it is a cut above the rest. Water is sourced from Norway, toiletries from Paris, and Veuve Clicquot chills coolly in the mini-bar.

The sensual suites draw inspiration from the Moroccan capital, adorned with silk chiffon artwork and rich oranges, reds and creams. The spa is fully-equipped with a traditional hammam, while the charcoal-polished dark-room ensures that massages carried out in the dark provide optimum absorption and relaxation.
While the hotel caters to a modern guest’s every desire, Maison MK also manages to seamlessly blend historical Moroccan framework with its cutting edge design, boasting the perfect mix of authenticity and opulence
