Hotel Beaux Arts Miami, an intimate 44-room boutique hotel nestled above the hustle and bustle of Downtown Miami and a recent addition to Marriott’s Autograph Collection of hotels, has launched the Bauhaus Cocktail Program to showcase technique and the art of cocktail design.
Inspired by the fundamental teachings of the Bauhaus Art Movement from 20th century Germany, the cocktail program is an adaption of the movement’s philosophy of advocating for a union of craft and artistic aesthetic.
The new cocktail tradition brings the art of mixology alive for guests by integrating history with invention, utilising craft products from small producers, and showcasing fresh seasonal ingredients.
Each hotel guest receives an invitation from his or her personal concierge to attend the special event.
As part of the guest experience, a mixologist demonstrates the Bauhaus Bomber, an adaptation of the 19th century cocktail created to celebrate the aviation era.
The libation features a unique indigo-grey colour from the Bitter Truth Violet Liqueur, crisp citrus and spice notes from local St. Augustine Distillery New World Gin and a maraschino cherry garnish, specially made in-house.
Following the demonstration on Wednesdays, guests enjoy the complimentary Bauhaus Bomber and chat with the lead mixologist about the Bauhaus Art Movement.
Known for creating unique partnerships in the for hotel guests, Hotel Beaux Art’s cocktail tradition offers guests a memorable experience while serving as The Mark, an initiative that encourages Autograph Collection Hotel’s to create unique property specific programming.
In 2017, the hotel partnered with local art gallery Artscape Labs to curate a special exhibition of artwork throughout the three-floor boutique hotel including works by Jose Parla, John Henry, among other artists.
Additionally, Hotel Beaux Arts has partnered with Art Miami, the nation’s leading international contemporary and modern art fairs, during Art Week Miami and has specially curated art books in each hotel room.
