Hilton Worldwide extends global reach with first hotel signing in Kazakhstan

Hilton Worldwide today announced its first ever hotel signing in Kazakhstan, adding to a European development pipeline of more than 115 hotels.  Hilton Garden Inn Astana follows the signing of a management agreement with Astana Development Group LLP, and is expected to open in summer 2014.

Hilton Garden Inn, the company’s mid-market brand, has seen significant development momentum across Europe with more than 50 hotels now trading or in development in the UK, Russia, Italy, Germany, Poland, The Netherlands, Spain, France, and Turkey.

We have seen rapid expansion in this part of the world, notably in Turkey and Russia, where our development pipelines are the biggest they have ever been. Hilton Garden Inn Astana will be located in the heart of Astana, the Kazakhstani Capital, on the banks of the river Ishim. As part of a mixed-use development, the new build hotel will offer 229 bedrooms and benefit from easy access to Astana International Airport. Leisure guests will enjoy the close proximity of the hotel to the new Opera House and the upscale ‘Khan Shatyr’ retail and leisure development.

The hotel will provide the Hilton Garden Inn brand’s key signature offerings which include the Garden Sleep SystemTM bed and ergonomic chair - ideal for travellers looking for a good night’s sleep and comfortable stay. There will also be a 24 hour business centre and complimentary high speed Wi-Fi internet access throughout, as well as a fitness centre. Conference and events space will total approximately 507 square metres, comprising of one main function room and three additional meeting rooms.
