Hertz Unveils Adrenaline and Green Traveler Collections

The Company is introducing the Hertz Adrenaline Collection™, replacing its Fun Collection, featuring an exciting group of adrenaline-pumping muscle cars, including the Camaro SS, Mustang GT Premium, and Challenger RT. Every vehicle in the collection can be specifically reserved and is guaranteed to be waiting for travelers.
In addition, Hertz is introducing the Green Traveler Collection, a rebranding of the Green Collection, which will encompass solely hybrid, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and electric vehicles, including the Toyota Prius (available upon request).
Hertz will continue to offer high-end luxury vehicles in its Prestige Collection, including cars such as the Mercedes C-E-Class and the GL450, Cadillac Escalade, Infiniti QX56 and Volvo S80. Every vehicle in the collection can be specifically reserved and is guaranteed to be waiting for travelers.
“Travel is on the upswing and Hertz’s Collections tap into some of the stronger consumer segments including the adventure and luxury markets,” said Mark P. Frissora, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, The Hertz Corporation. “The vehicle a traveler drives is an integral part of their journey, and with Hertz having the most diverse fleet and the greatest number of reservable cars in the industry, we are able to provide a car that can be reserved by exact make and model to match the variety of personal tastes, styles, and customer needs.”
The Adrenaline Collection showcases the most exciting new cars in Hertz’s fleet. Matching quality design and performance, vehicles in the collection are reminiscent of the original muscle cars. Each Adrenaline vehicle features powerful engines, with horsepower ranging from 372-412, and comes with complimentary SIRIUS XM radio.

The Green Traveler Collection reflects the move to more eco-conscious lifestyles. To help differentiate and define the category, the Collection contains exclusively hybrid and electric vehicles, including the Toyota Prius, Nissan Altima Hybrid, Toyota Camry Hybrid and a selection of EVs, including the smart fortwo Electric Drive and the Chevy Volt. Hertz added the first EVs to its New York City fleet in December 2010. By the end of 2011, Hertz anticipates having hundreds of EVs on the road.

As the demand for fuel efficiency today goes beyond “green,” non-hybrid and non-electric vehicles once part of the Green Collection will be deployed to other areas of the fleet. To help consumers understand all of the options, the company developed a distinct green leaf icon to identify all of its fuel-efficient cars, including those in the Green Traveler Collection, as well as other reservable models like the Toyota Camry and the smart fortwo.

Operating one of the youngest and most diverse fleets in the industry, Hertz is committed to offering its customers the most technologically innovative products and services available including online check in, mobile apps, the most advanced GPS unit in the industry, NeverLost®, and self service kiosks. Additionally, the company pioneered vehicle specific reservation capabilities via its Collections and has the largest fleet of make and model reservable cars in the industry.
