Hertz UAE to offer premium car rental service in Dubai

Hertz UAE has announced the launch of the Hertz #1 Club Gold service programme at its Dubai International Airport location in Terminal 3 in a move to provide travellers the quickest possible service with extra benefits.

The #1 Club Gold service in Dubai will offer customers exclusive benefits including faster reservations, a speedy vehicle pick up process and VIP treatment every time they rent a Hertz car.

A driver’s licence will be the only document that Club Gold members flying into Dubai will need to produce in order to process their reservation and go straight to their vehicle, waiting in a designated ‘gold’ parking area near the counter.

Dubai Airport is one of the busiest in the world.

Last year, 47.2 million passengers passed through the three terminals, and 2011 is expected to bring even more traffic. According to Dubai Airports, there was a 9.7 per cent year-on-year increase in passenger traffic in July 2011 compared to July 2010.

Commenting on the launch of the new service, Eugene Barry, vice president of commercial - Dubai Airports, said: “As an airport that prides itself on providing customers innovative services and superior facilities, we welcome the launch of Hertz’s #1 Club Gold service.

“It will definitely be a positive addition to the range of services and customer service experience at Dubai International.

Customers who have rented from Hertz three times during the calendar year are eligible to upgrade to the Hertz #1 Club Gold programme.

Hertz UAE, however, is granting travellers a limited-time complimentary upgrade to gold status when they enrol via the website.

Nigel Johnson, managing director, Hertz UAE said: “The Hertz #1 Club Gold programme is all about excellent service and efficiency.

“Air travel can be exhausting.

“Passengers are often fatigued upon arrival and simply want to get to their final destination.

“The Club Gold programme gets people on the road as quickly as possible.”
