Electric models including the Twizy, ZOE, Fluence ZE and Kangoo ZE would be included in the deal.
Hertz chairman and chief executive Mark Frissora said the company was committed to implementing their Electric Vehicle initiative around the world, and the partnership with Renault will be a vital part of the roll-out in Europe.
“The automaker has developed a full range of electric cars, he continued, which demonstrates that style, design and flexibility are zero-emissions compatible.
“We look forward to providing drivers with the chance to drive these vehicles from the start of next year,” added Frissora.
Global Electric Vehicle Program
Hertz launched its Global Electric Vehicle Program in December, with the aiming of introducing more zero-emission electric vehicles to its fleet.
As many 500 Nissan Leaf electric cars are also part of the plan, while other electric and hybrid vehicles from General Motors, Toyota and Mitsubishi are included.
The new Renault vehicles will be used by Hertz and car-sharing club Connect across Europe.
