Manu Harit, Cigar Sommelier at Corinthia Hotel London, is the youngest Cigar Sommelier in the industry to have received The Higher Certificate – the most extensive, challenging, and prestigious qualification within the world of Habanos.

With his new title as Master of Havana Cigars, Manu will proudly represent Corinthia London at the XVIth Festival Del Habanos, in Cuba February 2016.

Developed by Hunters & Frankau, The Higher Certificate examination covers all aspects of the Cuban cigar industry, including the cultivation of the world’s finest tobacco, Habanos brands, as well as cultural and historical topics.

Demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of Habanos, Manu is now one of only twenty in the United Kingdom to hold this elite qualification.

During his trip to Cuba next year Manu will continue to expand his growing network of contacts within the international cigar trade.

Among industry professionals, Manu is recognised for his passion for hospitality, charming personality, and ambitious spirit.

Manu joined Corinthia Hotel London as Cigar Sommelier in June 2015, working in the newly refurbished Garden Lounge designed by the David Collins Studio, equipped with a state-of-the-art cigar humidor.

Manu has previously held roles at Bvlgari Hotel, London; Le Royal Monceau Raffles, Paris; and The Langham, London.
