Enterprise Rent-A-Car reports 25% increase in Labor Day advance reservations

Enterprise Rent-A-Car reports 25% increase in Labor Day advance reservations

In anticipation of the AAA Labor Day travel announcement, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, North America’s largest rental car brand, announced today that advance neighborhood rental car reservation numbers for the 2012 Labor Day holiday currently are trending at 25 percent above 2011.

The data comes from Enterprise’s neighborhood car rental locations, which serve as launching pads for weekend getaways and nearby excursions.

“This growth in neighborhood car rentals is consistent with prior year increases for Labor Day reservations,” said Steve Short, vice president, Enterprise Rent-A-Car. “It’s also noteworthy that weekend summer rental numbers in comparison to 2011 are up, which demonstrates that people are choosing to rent a car in their neighborhood for weekend and holiday travel needs, despite the down economy. Cost savings, convenience and lack of wear-and-tear on their own vehicles seem to be at the heart of this continued growth.”

Enterprise goes the extra mile by picking up travelers at their homes and providing a vehicle to suit their individual travel needs – whether it’s renting a fuel-efficient car to enjoy cost savings or a roomier model to fit the family. There are 5,500 Enterprise neighborhood offices within 15 miles of 90 percent of the U.S. population. Enterprise operates more than twice as many locations as its nearest U.S. competitor and continues to lead the home-city market.
