easyJet adds flights to Sicily

easyJet will serve a new destination from the airport today to Catania in Sicily, Italy’s largest island. The inaugural flight of the new thrice weekly service will take off from London Luton Airport on 30 March 2014.

The announcement comes one month after easyJet announced its summer 2014 schedule from London Luton Airport with over 1 million seats on sale across easyJet’s network for the period.

Hugh Aitken, easyJet’ UK Commercial Manager said: “We’re delighted to be adding Catania, Sicily to easyJet’s growing network of year-round destinations from London Luton Airport.

“With fares available from as little as £40.49 we’re sure that the new services will prove extremely popular. Italy is rapidly becoming the destination of choice for generation easyJet travellers who are looking for a city, beach or ski break and we’re providing an easy and affordable way to do that throughout the year.”  Added Aitken.

easyJet’s new flights from London Luton to Catania depart every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Catania is the airline’s 40th destination from the airport and fifth Italian route in addition to Milan, Olbia, Pisa and Venice which are also served by easyJet from London Luton.
