Eastern Airways boosts Aberdeen-Southampton flights
Eastern Airways has said it will increase flights from Southampton Airport to Aberdeen, which will benefit business travellers and offshore workers.
From January 20th 2014, UK largest regional airline will increase scheduled services to Europe’s energy capital from the south coast of England to two flights each weekday, Mondays to Thursdays, offering additional choice with morning and afternoon departures.
This latest announcement follows on from the recent news that Eastern Airways will start services from Southampton to Leeds Bradford on January 20th, providing three flights each weekday in both directions, along with a Sunday service.
Kay Ryan, Eastern Airways commercial director, said: “By increasing the number of services to Aberdeen, this latest improvement allows south coast business travellers and oil industry workers the choice of a convenient morning flight or a late afternoon departure.”
Eastern Airways has been operating scheduled services from Southampton Airport for over ten years.
It also operates more flights from Aberdeen than any other airline.
A dedicated fast track security channel is offered at Southampton and Aberdeen airports for all Eastern Airways passengers to avoid any queues at security search, which also enables the airline to close check-in just 30 minutes before the departure time.
Complimentary drinks and snacks are offered on board the aircraft and passengers are not charged for check-in, baggage or choice of seat.
The airline provides a network of services flying from 20 airports across the UK, Norway and France using a fleet of 30 aircraft.
