Cathay Pacific signs deal with Travelport

Cathay Pacific has signed a five year marketing agreement with Travelport, which will see the Hong Kong-based airline linked to all Galileo, Apollo and Worldspan-connected travel agents.

The deal provides Travelport’s extensive network of travel agency customers worldwide with access to Cathay Pacific’s fares and inventory of flights, with full booking functionality.

“We are delighted to renew our agreement with Cathay Pacific which ensures all Travelport-connected agents will have unprecedented access to fares from this leading international carrier,” explained Travelport vice president Rabih Saab.

The agreement takes effect immediately.

“Both parties have been focused in finding a cost-effective arrangement that provides the greatest benefit for our travel agency partners,” enthused Clarence Tai, general manager sales & distribution, Cathay Pacific.

Cathay Pacific Airways is a member of the Swire group, offering scheduled passenger and cargo services to some 120 destinations in Asia, North America, Australia, Europe and Africa.
