PCTEL Announces Partnership with AT&T Wireless

In the coming weeks, AT&T Wireless
customers will be able to utilize PCTEL`s software to automatically detect, connect and log on to Wi-Fi locations in airports and hotels supported by AT&T Wireless and its Wi-Fi roaming partners.

PCTEL, Inc., a leading provider of Wi-Fi and cellular mobility software, software-defined radio products and access technology, announced an agreement to provide its Segue? Roaming Client software to AT&T Wireless for use in its Wi-Fi service.
The software will provide a consistent, easy to use interface for AT&T Wireless Wi-Fi customers.  Customers will be able to download the Wi-Fi Client via the AT&T Wireless website or when they log on at any AT&T Wireless supported Wi-Fi location.
“The client software provides the customer a one-step solution to logging on to the AT&T Wireless Wi-Fi services anyplace we offer our Wi-Fi services.  This consistent user interface for public Wi-Fi locations will make it easier and faster for our customers to stay connected while away from the office, ” said Abhi Ingle, Vice President of Business Data Solutions for AT&T Wireless Mobile Multimedia Services.

“Working with a national carrier like AT&T Wireless is a tremendous endorsement of our product line, which enhances the Wi-Fi experience for service providers and their customers alike, from logging on through the billing process,” said Marty Singer, Chairman and CEO of PCTEL.

The Segue? Roaming Client creates an intuitive process to give laptop and handheld computing device users secure, seamless access and roaming capabilities to Wi-Fi networks in public areas, at the office and in the home.
