Priceline.com
announced the introduction
of a Best-Price Guarantee for customers using priceline.com`s Name
Your Own Price(R) rental car service.
The guarantee promises to refund
customers 100 percent of the difference if they don`t find their best
rental car deal at priceline.com. With its announcement, priceline.com
becomes the only major Internet travel service to offer such a
guarantee for rental cars.
 
“Priceline Rental Cars is so convinced of its position as the
savings leader among the major online travel sites that we`re backing
it up with the Web`s only rental cars price guarantee,” said Paul
Hennessy, Vice President, Priceline Rental Cars.
  The rental car guarantee launch is being supported by a new
national radio advertising campaign featuring longtime priceline.com
celebrity spokesman William Shatner. The campaign also talks about how
flexible travelers can use priceline.com to rent from the same
top-brand companies and save up to 25 percent off other leading travel
sites.
 
To coincide with the guarantee introduction, priceline.com also
introduced today a newly designed rental cars Web site that is faster
and easier to use. The new site enables customers to make their rental
car purchase offer in a matter of minutes and receive a response from
priceline.com in as little as 90 seconds.
