, Asia Pacific’s leading GDS (Global Distribution Service) provider, has been awarded the People Developer Standard by SPRING Singapore (Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board) in recognition of their employee training and development initiatives.

Already well known for the high level of training they provide their travel agents and NMCs (National Marketing Companies), ABACUS International’s efforts in aligning their own employees’ development toward better business results have led to the company achieving the rigidly assessed quality standard.

ABACUS International is one of the first organisations to be evaluated under the new 56-point criteria APEX system. To be certified with the People Developer Standard, organisations need to score at least 400 out of 1,000 points in these criteria.

“This award is an endorsement of the systems we have in place to constantly review and improve our employee development processes, particularly in induction and in tracking the return on investment from training. The people developer practices that we have built into ABACUS are essential parts of our Performance Management Process.
