US Secretary of State Colin Powell “Touched” By Warm Welcome Of The Peninsula Manila

The Peninsula Manila was the hotel of choice for the U.S. Secretary of State, Colin Powell and his 47-member delegation during their visit to The Philippines from August 2 to 3, 2002.
Manila was the final-stop for Powell in his eight-nation tour of Southeast Asia.
In his meetings with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and other Philippine officials, the US Secretary of State remarked that he was “deeply touched” by the warm welcome with which he was received at The Peninsula Manila.
