Orbitz has formed a partnership with Spa Finder to launch the industry`s first spa micro-site featuring information, real-time availability and reservation capabilities at more than 250 destination and resort spas.
Orbitz is the first major online travel company to offer access to a comprehensive spa vacation package listing with online booking capabilities. The spa micro-site will be accessible by clicking on the Spa Travel link on the Orbitz homepage, and at orbitz.com/spatravel.

“Spa travel is booming at an annual growth rate of over 20 percent,” said Mike Sands, Chief Marketing Officer at Orbitz. “Since half of leisure travelers consider access to a spa an important factor in their travel planning, Orbitz is pleased to be the first major travel website to bring consumers the largest inventory of spa-related deals, packages and travel information.”

Concurrently, Orbitz introduces a separate new micro-site catering to ski travel. The new site offers consumers in-depth information and inventory on ski destinations and deals through a partnership with Moguls Mountain Travel. The ski micro-site is accessible by clicking on the Ski Travel link on the Orbitz homepage, or at orbitz.com/skitravel.

With the introduction of the spa and ski micro-sites, Orbitz continues to expand its robust offering of niche travel options. Last month, Orbitz launched its first micro-site for gay and lesbian travel.
