America West Las Vegas - Eugene Service

PHOENIX, Feb. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/—America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA), the nation`s second-largest low-fare airline, announced today that it will initiate nonstop roundtrip service between its Las Vegas hub and Eugene, Ore., this Saturday, March 1, 2003. Customers in the Eugene area can now take advantage of America West`s business-friendly fare structure, featuring business fares that are 40 to 70 percent lower than most major airlines, to connect to 24 destinations across the United States and Mexico from the airline`s Las Vegas hub.


“We`re expanding service in Eugene because customers have responded very positively to our low fares and friendly ticketing policies. The new nonstop service to Las Vegas offers customers a direct link to one of America`s most popular leisure destinations as well as the opportunity to connect to major business destinations across the country,” said Ron Cole, vice president, sales.


The service will be provided by America West Express and operated by Mesa Airlines utilizing the 50-seat Canadair Regional Jet.
