Airport parking help ease the hassle of getting to the airport

Airport Parking and Hotels, the long stay airport parking and travel extras specialist, is helping travellers save money on the family holiday this summer by highlighting the cheapest way of travelling to the airport. The research, found at www.aph.com/familytravel, has found that driving to the airport and pre-booking airport parking can save a family of four more than £140. The research compared the cost of two adults and two children travelling from a nearby city centre to Birmingham, Manchester and Gatwick airports. Sharing a taxi may seem to the most cost effective and convenient way of travelling but it actually can be the most expensive, costing 50% more. The same journey by car and parking at the airport for seven nights would cost only £31.35 - including petrol and one weeks’ parking with Airport Parking and Hotels. The train, although often cheaper than taking a taxi, is still more expensive than driving, and with set departure times and inconvenient locations for some, can be a lot more hassle.

Nick Caunter, managing director of APH, says, “Often the cheapest and most convenient way of getting to the airport is by car, especially for families and groups, and by pre-booking airport parking, travellers not only make significant saving, they also guarantee a parking space.”

Airport Parking and Hotels Ltd has over 20 years’ experience as a retailer of pre-booked airport parking and travel extras. It offers parking at 24 UK airports, ports and Eurotunnel terminals plus airport hotels packaged with parking, airport lounges, travel insurance, car hire and holiday taxis.
