New facility from LeSPORT

Craig and Eve Barnard, the owners of the BodyHoliday at LeSPORT are excited to be able to offer a great new facility which they have been putting together for the past four years.  It is the new Ayurvedic Temple, which they call Pavitra, an Indian word meaning ‘purity, reflection, spirituality’.The vision was to create a place that celebrated Mogul architecture.  Pavitra is a place of beauty and tranquillity where authentic treatments from the traditional Indian holistic medicine can be practised allowing you to experience true Ayurvedic Therapies.

The treatments are performed on Thoni, king size beds, made out of wood.  Traditional wood is used as it passes on Earth’s vibrant energy to you, whilst enhancing the overall benefits of treatments.  Highly skilled Ayurvedic practitioners perform over 30 treatments using the internationally acclaimed product range, Kama Ayurveda, made authentically in Kerala. The body and facial products use only organic herbs, natural oils and chemical free preparations for efficacy.

During several trips to India, the very best of architects, designers, craftsmen and a practised Historian were carefully selected for the project.  The architecture, interior furnishings and paints are inspired from the Mughal Empire.

The sandstone from Bansipaharpur in southern Rajasthan was carved by the few remaining skilled craftsmen in Makrana, Rajasthan who work on restoring ancient monuments.  The wood was carved in Churi.  The black floor is from Cuddapah, and is commonly called Madras Stone.  All the fittings and fixtures are hand made in India for Pavitra.
