LAN introduces business-class South America airpass

LAN Airlines has expanded its popular South America Airpass, introducing a new business class version. The new pass enables travellers to fly business class on a range of services operated within South and Central America by LAN Airlines, LAN Argentina, LAN Peru and LAN Ecuador. Where business class is not available, passengers can include economy class sectors within their Airpass itineraries.

Rodrigo Contreras, General Manager Australia, New Zealand and Asia for LAN, said the LAN South America Airpass was one of the most popular products for visitors to the region, and a business class version was a natural next step.

“Travel to South America is on the rise, with tourists seeking adventure experiences that cannot be found anywhere else in the world,” Mr Contreras said. “By offering a business class Airpass, there is now also an option for travellers seeking a premium product experience.”

LAN has increased the availability of business class throughout South America recently with the introduction of a fleet of new Airbus A320-family aircraft.

The airline is also upgrading the business class cabins on its fleet of wide-bodied Boeing 767-300 aircraft, which operate on some of the busiest and longest routes within South America, as well as services to the USA.
