New appointment for Hertz

Alfredo Ruiz Plaza, 46, has been promoted as Vice President of Regional Operations, Europe at Hertz.  He has overall responsibility for country operations in Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom, and reports to Michel Taride, President Hertz Europe and Executive Vice President, Hertz Corporation.

Since joining Hertz in 1997, Alfredo has successfully fulfilled a number of financial, human resources and general management roles in Spain. He has significantly expanded the company’s network, including increased presence at shopping malls and railway stations. He has also extended the company’s fleet with innovations such as Electric Cars, Motorbikes, Green Collection, and Legacy vehicles including the Hurtan.

 

His first position was General Manager - Hertz Lease, Spain.  After three years, Alfredo was promoted to General Manager, Hertz Spain.  In 2005 he was also named General Manager of Hertz Equipment Rental.

Before he joined Hertz, Alfredo held a number of senior financial and general management roles in other multinational companies including RCA, Burger King and Danzas.
