The share of passengers of the Austrian Airlines Group now using electronic ticketing is already 64%, an increase of 59% compared to last year. Between January and May 2007 alone, the company welcomed almost 900,000 etix passengers onto its aircraft. On etix-capable routes, the share is even higher at 68%.

Interlining possible with 24 partner airlines - NEW: Korean Air
Interlining from electronic ticket etix, or the issuing of electronic tickets on the routes of other airlines, is also expanding continuously due to its huge market success. Interlining has now been extended to include another partner airline in the shape of Korean Airlines. As before, the electronic ticket can be used with Star Alliance partners Lufthansa, Air Canada, Air New Zealand, All Nippon Airways, Asiana Airlines, bmi, LOT, SAS, Singapore Airlines, Spanair, Swiss, TAP Portugal, Thai Airways, United Airlines and US Airways, as well as with regional members Adria Airways, Blue1 and Croatia Airlines. Interlining is also possible with British Airways, EL AL, Delta, Ukraine International Airlines and Wideroe.

Already 85 destinations available with etix - NEW: Odessa and Kharkov
The number of routes that can be flown with etix is already being successively expanded. The recent introduction to the schedule of the Ukrainian destinations of Odessa and Kharkov means that two further destinations have now been etix-enabled, and the global route network of the Austrian Airlines Group now includes 85 destinations where ‘paper-free’ flying is an option.

All you need to fly with etix is a Miles & More card - or a credit card number for personal identification. If a passenger does not own either a Miles & More or a credit card, it is also possible to use etix® in combination with a form of photographic ID. Booking with etix also offers a financial benefit: due to the lower cost of issue compared to a paper ticket, this benefit is equal to EUR 10 when booked at the Austrian Airlines website (www.austrian.com), EUR 35 when booked at any other Austrian Airlines booking centres (for Europe and the Middle East) and EUR 45 for long-haul flights.
