Singapore Airlines is boosting capacity on existing routes between Singapore and key destinations in Asia and Europe to cater to increasing demand when the Northern Summer schedule comes into effect later this month.
Singapore Airlines operates three daily non stop flights between London Heathrow and Singapore and one non stop flight five times a week between Manchester and Singapore.

In Europe, Singapore Airlines will again operate the summer season schedule from Singapore to Athens, bringing frequency to the Greek capital to three times a week, up from the winter twice-weekly service.

Singapore Airlines will begin 777-300ER flights between Singapore and Frankfurt (SQ326/325) from later this month.

Service frequency between Singapore and Rome will also be increased from three to four times weekly. The additional flight will be operated on Saturdays, from 7 July to October 2007.

With effect from 3 July to October 2007, an additional flight will be added to increase the service frequency from Singapore to the Italian fashion capital of Milan, then onto Barcelona in Spain, from three to four times weekly. The additional flight, using Singapore Airlines’ new Boeing 777-300ER will depart Singapore late every Tuesday evening.

From 25 March 2007, four more weekly flights will be added between Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, bringing the total number of weekly flights to 17.

The southern Indian city of Bangalore will be served by a daily flight from Singapore, increasing from the current six times weekly service.  The additional flight will operate on Wednesdays.

Two additional flights will be operated between Singapore and Seoul, bringing to 24 the number of flights between the two cities.

In addition, from 1 July 2007, frequency between Singapore and the Japanese city of Osaka will increase by two flights a week, bringing it to 19 flights weekly.

Services to Hong Kong will increase to six times daily, following the addition of four more weekly flights.

From 25 March 2007, customers flying to the Egyptian capital of Cairo can enjoy the convenience of a direct flight. The Airline’s thrice weekly Singapore-Dubai-Cairo services will be de-linked and replaced with direct services to Cairo three times a week. Singapore Airlines continues to operate 10 times weekly to Dubai.

Besides flight frequency increases, Singapore Airlines will also be deploying its new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on more of its popular routes.  There are now eight 777-300ERs in the fleet, and another three due by the end of 2007.

Then, in July 2007, customers can experience the new products on board the 777-300ER on the Singapore-Taipei-Los Angeles (SQ28/27) route every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

Singapore Airlines’ extensive network covers 65 destinations in 35 countries. With the addition of these services, the Airline will operate more than 700 services weekly across the globe.
