New appointment for SkyScanner

SkyScanner is appointing Aaron Ritoper to the newly created position of Head of Global Sales. Reporting to Barry Smith, Co-Founder and Director, Business Development, Ritoper will be tasked with driving global sales, acquiring new clients and increasing revenue growth in all of SkyScanner’s new, geographic markets.

Ritoper joins from Amadeus where he was the Head of Consulting Services for the e-Travel division.

In the new role Ritoper will be responsible for the management of revenue and sales strategies for global markets as well as implementing annual sales plans and leading the global sales team.

Smith comments: “As SkyScanner looks to expand globally we needed to create an overall head of sales role to serve as the company’s key contact for major international partners and clients. Aaron’s unrivalled experience from Amadeus and deep understanding of online travel services and solutions certainly means he’s the best man for the job.”

Ritoper comments: “It’s great to be joining a young and innovative internet company with such ambitious plans. It’s only the beginning for best-in-class flight search engines like SkyScanner, which has the technology and expertise to be a big player in the industry.”
