Travel website unveils spy tool

www.travelsupermarket.com is launching Travel Spy, which enables users to track down the best flight deals available, without having to specify exactly when or where they want to travel.
Visitors to the site enter their desired departure airport, select a month and pick the country they wish to visit and press enter. Travel Spy will then review all the flight searches carried out on the site within the last three days and produce a list of deals that meet the search criteria - from the cheapest upwards.

Visitors wishing to take advantage of a similar deal can simply click on the flights and be taken straight through to the regular www.travelsupermarket.com search page and receive details of the current best price available.

For example, a recent search found deals such as: Heathrow to New York, flying 10-14 February for £192.40 with Thomas Cook; London Stansted to Geneva, flying 14-21 March with Flyglobespan for £48.92 and Stansted to Venice, flying 29 March - 5 April for £57.10 with British Airways.

Chris Nixon, general manager of www.travelsupermarket.com, comments: “Travel Spy is an excellent development for those travellers looking to get away, but with no set location or date in mind”.

“Rather than having to search for flights to specific destinations on specific dates, Travel Spy lets the user find where the cheap flight deals are and then build their holiday or trip around them.  A few minutes research can save the traveller a significant amount and may also encourage them to visit somewhere they previously hadn’t considered.”
