SAS group expands UK network

The SAS Group airline, Wider¿e is commencing new direct flights from the UK to Norway from 27 April 2006. The new services will complement Wider¿e’s existing double daily services from Aberdeen to Stavanger and Bergen.

Wider¿e will operate four direct flights a week from Edinburgh to Bergen and twice weekly flights from Newcastle.
Fares from Newcastle to Bergen start from £64 one-way including taxes, when booked on www.flysas.com.

All services will be operated by Dash 8-300s 50 seater aircraft.

Both these new services will provide business and leisure travellers with an ideal gateway to Norway, allowing passengers to experience the famous Norwegian fjords and ski slopes with low one-way fares.

Business travellers will be offered SAS’ unique one-way fare structure, allowing them to combine fares across different classes, for example allowing them to fly out in Business Class and back in Economy and allowing them greater flexibility with their business plans and travel.

These new services will bring advantages to both business and leisure travellers from around the UK, providing efficient business links to the oil and gas industry of Bergen and the surrounding area as well as opening up the picturesque fjords to holiday makers.”

The new direct flights will allow for easy onward connections via the SAS Group’s network across Scandinavia and around the world.
