InterContinental Hotels Group is continuing the expansion of its Holiday Inn brand in Latin America with the opening of a 105-room 11-story Holiday Inn Express in Puerto Montt, Chile.

Mall Paseo Costanera, the Holiday Inn Express Puerto Montt, is the 29th hotel opening for the Holiday Inn brand in Latin America. It is also the seventh Holiday Inn Express property to open under a franchise agreement with Talbot S.A.

“Our mid-market portfolio continues to grow exponentially in Latin America because we have been successful at establishing solid long-term relationships with our owners,” said Alvaro Diago, area president, Latin America, InterContinental Hotels Group.

“As owners of seven Holiday Inn Express properties in Chile and Argentina, we have been extremely pleased with the performance of the brand and our relationship with IHG,” said Eduardo Ariztia, managing director, Talbot Hotels, Chile. “We are always on the look-out for joint opportunities with IHG.”

All 105 guestrooms feature large TVs, wireless Internet access, dual-line telephones with voice mail, coffeemakers, mini-bars, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards and in-room safes. The hotel’s amenities also include an Express Market convenience store, laundry service, a business center, a fitness facility and two meeting rooms.
