Sabre Travel Network announced a comprehensive distribution agreement with Hong Kong’s new executive airline, Hong Kong Express Airways. The agreement will provide SabreConnected travel agents with complete access to the airlines’ flight schedules, fares and seat availability via the world’s leading GDS (Global Distribution System).

Announcing Hong Kong Express’s participation, Mr Hans Belle, Vice President Marketing, Sabre Travel Network said, “We are delighted that Hong Kong Express Airways has chosen to distribute with Sabre, further expanding on its existing agreement recently announced with Abacus for distribution throughout Asia Pacific. The fact that Hong Kong Express Airways sees GDS distribution as central to its strategy proves the viability of the GDS as the most cost-efficient and productive way for travel content to be sold to the travelling public via travel agents. This deal will strengthen the competitiveness of SabreConnected travel agencies everywhere, but particularly in Asia Pacific.”

Hong Kong Express will initially implement Full Availability with Answerback in Sabre, with interactive Direct Connect Sell (DCS) and Direct Access to follow. These features will enable agencies to receive instant confirmations and access to Hong Kong Express Airways’ fares and last-seat inventory.
