Caribbean great for adventure

The Caribbean is ‘hotting’ up for its peak winter season. In a bid to increase visitation during the 2005/2006 period there is a strict focus on soft adventure. The Caribbean is a diverse range of islands that provide ample outlet for adventure lovers.  Julia Hendry, Director of Marketing for the CTO in the UK and Europe, insists; “With year round warm temperatures and a wide range of accommodation from luxury hotels through to old plantation houses, visitors are guaranteed to find the perfect holiday combination.

“From horse riding in Jamaica to kite surfing in Antigua, a host of new and exciting adventure options have been introduced across the Caribbean this winter to cater for this increasing market sector.

“We expect the end of 2005 and early 2006 to be busy months for all the islands, and with a number of new and refurbished properties set to open, visitors to the region will have more choice than ever before.”

The Caribbean expects more arrivals then ever before from the UK and Europe, this can largely be accredited to the safety of the Caribbean region in light of the ever-present global threat of terrorism.
