Macdonald Marine Hotel & Spa Re-Opens Following £13.5Million Refurbishment

Reopening this October after a £13.5million refurbishment the Macdonald Marine Hotel & Spa has been significantly upgraded and extended and now boasts state of the art conference facilities capable of accommodating up to 400 delegates. To compliment the new facilities a range of packages for one day and residential conferences are available.

The investment is the largest in any existing Macdonald Hotel and on completion the Macdonald Marine will have up to eight meeting spaces available, from boardrooms all the way up to dinner dance capacity.

James Fraser, General Manager at the Macdonald Marine Hotel & Spa, said: “The seaside has always been a popular conference destination with political parties and the location of the Macdonald Marine Hotel & Spa is one of the main selling points. The hotel’s sea views are within easy reach of Edinburgh Airport, less than an hour by car and we’re just a few miles from the A1.

“I want this hotel to be the venue of choice in the Lothians for conferences. The facilities here really are exceptional and all our conference rooms have the benefit of natural light. With the addition of the spa and Vital health club we also have the perfect retreat after a long day at the table.”

In addition to the conference facilities the Macdonald Marine Hotel & Spa has 84 newly refurbished bedrooms, 42 with views over the Firth of Forth. The Craigleith Restaurant also benefits from the same view allowing fine dining alongside spectacular scenery. Chef will be more than happy to speak to guests about special events such as banquets or even barbeques.
