Mandarin Oriental to Open on Grand Cayman

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced it is building an exclusive hideaway resort in the secluded Barefoot Beach area of Grand Cayman. The resort will open in 2007. Featuring 114 lavish guest rooms and suites overlooking the Caribbean Sea; each room will incorporate Mandarin Oriental’s signature in-room technology and sophisticated entertainment systems. While The Spa will feature 11 treatment rooms including two VIP couples suites.

The architecture of the Mandarin Oriental will blend elegantly into the lush, tropical landscape and beachfront of Grand Cayman. The hotel will be on a 10-acre site which includes Barefoot Beach; an unspoiled 950-foot stretch of pristine white sand.
