Hilton Santo Domingo Finally Opens its Doors

After years of postponed openings the Hilton Santo Domingo, the 14th hotel added to Hilton International’s Caribbean portfolio, officially (and finally) opened its doors yesterday. To mark the occasion, the hotel is offering guests a introductory rate of US$99. Plus, Hilton HHonors® members are treated to a special bonus offer: triple HHonors Base points and triple airline miles.
Hilton Santo Domingo recently celebrated a major culinary accolade. The hotel’s kitchen team, lead by Executive Chef Johan Rox, took home 12 prizes for their innovative culinary creations at the Dominican Republic’s 31st Annual Gastronomic Festival.

Rox was the only Executive Chef to showcase a display of ice carvings and became one of three finalists for the Chef of the Year Award. The Festival, supported by the National Tourism authorities, the National Association of Hotels & Restaurants (ASONAHORES) and the Chef Association of the Dominican Republic, includes participation from a wide
range of hotels and restaurants.

“Not only winning these awards, but doing so before opening, confirms the quality of Hilton Santo Domingo’s team and our commitment to delivering the highest standard of excellence in hotels throughout the region. We celebrate as Hilton Santo Domingo opens its doors and Hilton Caribbean adds one more property to our growing portfolio,” said Danny Hughes, vice president for Hilton International, Caribbean, Central America, and USA.

The 21-floor atrium tower Hilton Santo Domingo is ideally located on the city’s oceanfront boulevard - El Malecon - just 30 minutes from Las Americas International Airport.

If not already a Hilton HHonors member, guests can easily enroll on-line at
