Tony Blair Says Terrorists Won’t Win

Prime Minister Tony Blair has spoken from the G8 Summit in Gleneagles, stating that it was reasonably clear that the attacks on London were an act of terrorism.Tony Blair plans to leave the G8 summit to fly to London and collect reports from the police and ministers who have been dealing with the crisis.

He stated in a TV address that the summit would continue in his absence: “It is the will of the G8 leaders that we should continue the discussions we were going to discuss and reach conclusions we were going to reach”.

Tony Blair described the act as barbaric and said there is no question that this is an act of terrorism.

He concluded: “Our determination to defend our values and our way of life is greater than their desire to impose extremism on the world. Whatever they do it is our determination that they will never succeed in destroying what we hold dear”.
