Angsana Spa opens its door to spa enthusiasts in Cape Town today. This is the first time that Thai and Asian spa remedies are introduced to spa aficionados in Cape Town, along with a team of Thai-trained Angsana Spa therapists.

Boasting luxurious rooms with an Asian touch, this new spa is well equipped with 5 double treatment rooms - including 2 deluxe rooms with steam and shower facilities overlooking Table Mountain; 5 single treatment rooms, and 1 signature Rainmist treatment room with twin beds, the first of its kind in South Africa.

Angsana Spa’s refreshing blend of treatments place special emphasis on the use of natural ingredients such as native flowers, fruits, herbs, spices and plants. It is based on the use of aromatherapy, the therapeutic sense of touch, and a fusion of techniques from the East and West to refresh and rejuvenate the body, mind and spirit.

Spa enthusiasts will be delighted by the numerous treatments available, including signature treatments like Angsana Massage, created exclusively for Angsana Spa. Using palm strokes and thumb pressure to work on the body’s key pressure points, the massage frees the body from stress and strengthen inner qi. This massage uses the specially formulated Euphoria Oil to further enhance the experience.

To enable guests to bring home a piece of the Asian Spa experience, there is an Angsana Gallery within that offers exclusive spa products, including specially-blended essential oils, massage oils, incense sticks, body, foot and hair care toiletries and spa accessories inspired by the natural healing disciplines of Asia.

Angsana Spa is located on the lush, pristine 6 acres of landscaped parkland of the Vineyard Hotel. The elegantly appointed deluxe hotel began operations in 1894, and today offers 160 luxury rooms and award-winning conference facilities. Designed and built by Architrave Design Pte. Ltd., the architectural arm of Singapore-based parent company Banyan Tree Holdings, the spa bears the signature Angsana trademark cool lime green with bursts of slick tangerine in its soft furnishings. Its design is a fluid combination of contemporary interior design, architecture and aesthetic beauty interspersed with charming Asian artwork.
